Image
24th Lancers turn in on the flank of Mont Fleury ridge in order to take the last defenders of the ridge under fire, But Jerry is still holding on!

Image

Image
The last of the brave (sorry for the quality of the pic). 4th coy of 441 Ost Btl. holding the last trench on Mont Fleury ridge. Next round will finally finish them off ... as the umpire ends the game! So they survive!

Result of the game on the Gold Beach/Bayeux table(s): Brits 1 3/4 points, Germans 1/4 point. Victory for the Brits. (Jig sector Bayeux cleared = 1 point, King sector 1/2 point and Mount Fleury ridge a draw (juuuuuust) = 1/4 point (=3/4 points)

But ... all in all the Allies lost the total game (incl. all other beaches and areas).

As you can tell ... this was great fun with a great bunch of gamers!

Cheers
