Here are the photos of our start of all the pacific battl that we have done all the kit for - Credit to Brad for use of his Japs and Mark Piper for use of LSI and LCT

Lot fun was had by all involved Tim and I were the Japanese and MarK Brad Warren and Andrew the Brave US marines

The game was played 8 turns and started with the Landing on White 1&2 and Orange beach one - the firing happenned as the LCT's pushe their way through the reef and headed for the shoreline - the first move cause much destruction with 8 figures lost from one battl and 3 from another and the lose of a lvta still more problems on the second turn but the Japs still had their heads down due to Accurate Rocket fire on their 150mm gun and the threat of a nasty Corsair circling their positions
turn 3 saw the landing and quite a few craft suffered from the mined beach with LVT's and dukw both falling to the mines and leaving the infantry stuck on the beaches - they also suffered from heavy fire from Snipers and the 20mm on the point and one Co shot as he lead his men bravely forward (1 Medal of Honour) - The flow of numbers started to overwhelm the first line of Bunkers
first shots
The Marines then got their tanks onto the beach one by one the commanders sorted their men and pushed the marines off the beach men fell but their own firepower also overwelmed the defences on their left and the right trenches stayed very quiet and held fire for point blank fire

The Jap anese tanks then come out of cover and theaten the light Lvt's and the infantry on the right - the 3 Shermans then quickly silenced this threat by filling the light ha go full of holes
The japnese that were quiet openned fire driving another unit to test - it test tested then on its second test lost its nerve - the japaese here also lost their nerve and stayed in their trences which caused the game to finish in a draw - the US troops would cross the line but the Jap anese not their line bt the US had not destroyed enough while the Japs had caused their casualties
Great game and many phots will post rest tomorrow

Love the masses of troops running up the beach! The beat up planes on the runway are pretty cool too. 8-)

Table set up looks great 8-) 8-) 8-)

Bit of a 'human wave' attack by the marines up the beach.

Recently been invited on a gilder pilot training course.

Doesn't sound too great as they only have HAM & JAM sandwiches.

What exciting action and a very attractive tablet top set up! It looks like fun.

A very good looking game mate.

well done.

Now a question - as my knowledge of PTO operations is equal to nil - shouldn't that section of the island have a more dense jungle area, ounce the beach was crossed?

A+

Faustnik, technically, you are quite correct. The terrain beyond the beaches should have been a lot less flat, too. None of that really detracts from a great-looking game, though.
