Action at El Sidi dip.

Postby willz » Fri Jun 25, 2010 3:49 pm

Thursday night game with Ed and me.
Desert war knock about, small German Reconnaissance force
with some armour defending, British attacking with lots of armour and infantry.

A lone Pnz III takes on the might of the British.

German right wing try to hold of British.

Shell and smoke.
Image
More action on the right.
Image
Oops should not have move out of cover.
Image
German centre.
Image
View of the German right wing which is hard pressed by British armour just out of shot.
Image
Action on the German left wing. Having lost most of my armour by now a lucky shot
from an anti tank rifle got Ed's armour in a pickle, plus slowing him down with good use of smoke.
Image
Mortar fire onto Ed's infantry.
Image
The British are advancing on all sides I don't stand a chance. this is a hard fought game.
Image
The German command post is comming under pressure.
Image
The victors move forward.
Image
View along the battle field. Germans are being attack on 3 sides. I have just hit one
of Ed's Matilda's tiwce with a flame thrower and caused no damage.
Image
The end is nigh, a very good game the Germans were well and truly hammered,
I made Ed pay for every bit of ground.
Image
Cheers Ed. Don you missed a good game.

The hills are made out of a gardening kneeler pad (high density EVA foam) from Tesco £1.00p each,
carve then up with a sharp stanley knife, coat in wood glue and sand, some old paint brush
for long grass, paint and varnish. dust with grass flock.
